These standards describe how travelspoon prevents and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), across the travelspoon mobile app and related services.
These standards apply to every user, group, message, and item of content on travelspoon.
1. Scope and age requirement
travelspoon is intended only for people who are at least 17 years old. During registration or initial account setup, users must confirm “I am 17 or older” and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before completing access to the service.
This age restriction does not reduce our child safety obligations. The standards on this page apply to all users and content, including suspected activity involving a person under 18.
2. Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
travelspoon has zero tolerance for content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. Users must not create, upload, store, request, distribute, promote, or facilitate CSAE or CSAM through travelspoon.
Prohibited conduct includes grooming a child for sexual purposes, sextortion, trafficking or solicitation involving a child, sexualizing a child, and sharing or requesting any visual depiction of child sexual abuse.
3. In-app reporting and other reporting channels
Users can report safety concerns without leaving the travelspoon app:
- Report and block another user from that user’s profile.
- Report a travel group from the group dashboard.
- Report a text, image, video, or location message from the message menu.
Child safety concerns may also be sent to [email protected] with the subject “travelspoon Child Safety Report.”
4. Review and enforcement
Reports involving suspected CSAE or CSAM are prioritized for review. Based on the available evidence, severity, and applicable law, travelspoon may restrict or remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve relevant records, and take other measures needed to protect users.
When travelspoon becomes aware of CSAM, we act to remove or restrict access to it and follow the reporting and preservation duties required by applicable law.
5. Legal compliance
travelspoon complies with applicable child safety laws and cooperates with valid legal requests. Where required, suspected CSAE or CSAM is reported to the appropriate authorities or designated child safety organizations.

Do not download, capture, attach, forward, or otherwise redistribute suspected CSAM. Instead, provide the relevant travelspoon user, group, or message identifier, the approximate date and time, and a description of the concern. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.
